Concept Art - Creature design
Kiwish for The Wizard Joust
Kiwish are large flightless birds ridden by wizards for magical jousting competitions.
Chadimus & Abarroth are the Kiwish of the 2 main characters in The Wizard Joust, and their armour should reflect their owners' aesthetics.
The setting of The Wizard Joust is inspired by ancient Persia, so their armour should reflect this aesthetic.
In this world, types of wood and gems are imbued with magic, providing protection or heightened magical channeling abilities.

Storyboards
For my project Raft & Galleon, I storyboarded a first episode - Marooned - in Toon Boom Storyboard pro.
Below are the beat boards done in Clip Studio Paint. The story follows Natrick, a well-seasoned sailor who is marooned on an island when a peculiar and familiar fellow, Rocky, washes up. As Rocky's mistakes come back to haunt them, Natrick has fun taunting the hopeless pirate.
About me
Hey! I'm Joy.
Whether it's drawings, animation, comics, videogame assets, editing, or painting, I'm always making something, usually under the pseudonym MythicalWater.
I'd consider myself an animation all-rounder, as I've been making my own cartoons for YouTube since I was 16.
In 2023 I started studying animation, and have gotten to work in team environments on a variety of roles including concept art, storyboarding, sound designing, and even a bit of 3D modelling, texturing and animating.
I'm proficient in Toon Boom Harmony, Photoshop, Clip Studio Paint, and some of DaVinci resolve (it's a very big and scary program but I only use its editing features)
That photo to the right is of me having the time of my life seeing my own art printed on a huge wall at PAX Aus 2024.
